Tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET the Miami Heat (18-6) will look to avenge their defeat in Indiana when they face the Pacers (20-4) for the second time this season on ESPN in a marquee matchup that can be live streamed here free. Pacers fans can listen to Paul George and co. on 1070 The Fan, while the Heat faithful can access the radio broadcast on 560 WQAM.
The Heat are no doubt hoping to play well and re-assert their dominance of the Eastern Conference tonight, but they might have to do it without their leader LeBron James. James tweaked his ankle in a 30-point effort against the Jazz, but said he's most likely going to try and play.
"I've had my fair share of ankle twists so I already knew how it was going to be today," James said Tuesday. "Very stiff, very sore, it'll be around the clock treatment with Mike (Mancias, his trainer) and we'll go from there.
"I'm day to day, and we'll see what happens. I didn't step on nobody's foot, my ankle just turned. So it's frustrating."
Indiana figures to be very focused tonight after dropping their first home game of the season on Monday to the disappointing Pistons; George acknowledged the Pacers may have been eyeballing tonight's matchup. "A loss like this brings us back to reality," George said. "We can't turn it on, we can't have a switch when we want to. Teams are getting up and getting ready to play us, so we have to match that energy and prepare like they're the team to beat."
Pacers guard Lance Stephenson believes Miami will be gunning for them especially hard because of his antics late in the game the first time these teams met. "(The Heat) were really mad at the end of the game because I got a cheap dunk," Stephenson said. "I know they're going to bring it to us."
