Rudy Gobert is tied with two other players for most Defensive Player of the Year wins in the history of the NBA.

Many current and former NBA players question the Minnesota Timberwolves center's value in the league, to the point that they vote him the Most Overrated Player.

If people are not convinced, what more about the Basketball Hall of Fame?
Well, one person thinks he deserves a spot for the most prestigious basketball honor.
And he is the last person one would think of if you have been religiously following Rudy Gobert's career.
Draymond Green, who constantly attacks Gobert's style of play, thinks the French center will be in the Hall of Fame.
However, he does not think it is because of his value in the NBA but more about his contribution outside of America.
"It will, because a couple things," Green said during an appearance at Shaquille O'Neal's "The Big Podcast with Shaq,"
"It will because when you look at the Hall of Fame, it is the basketball Hall of Fame, it's not the NBA Hall of Fame. I think we oftentimes see some guys from Europe get into the Hall of Fame that we necessarily wouldn't respect that guy being in the Hall of Fame on our terms. But it's not necessarily our Hall of Fame, it's the basketball Hall of Fame."
Green maintains Gobert does not deserve all four DPOYs
Gobert's record DPOY win is a challenging feat to achieve.
However, for Green, he only deserves one of those-the one he won in 2024.
"No, it's like you drive, he comes weak side and he blocks it. I think he earned this one this year, but all of the other years I was a little skeptical of."
