It is official.

The Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul Fight in the boxing ring will be professional, and the result will be added to each fighter's record.

The two proponents have advocated sanctioning their showdown as a pro since the fight was announced in early March.

The match will be held at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, and the official designation of the Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul Fight as a professional boxing fight was granted by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations.

Most Valuable Promotions co-founder Nakisa Bidarian hailed the designation.

"Mike Tyson and Jake Paul signed on to fight each other with the desire to do so in a sanctioned professional fight that would have a definitive outcome," he said.

"Over the past six weeks MVP has worked with its partners to satisfy the requirements of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR) to sanction Paul vs Tyson and we are grateful that we have gotten to this point."

What factored in on the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations decision?

These are mostly Tyson's professional boxing history.

Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul, now a professional bout

The organization considered the number of bouts the two fighters fought in. Tyson alone has 56 fights. Another is the career rounds wherein Tyson has 215.

Another main reason the fight was easy to make professional was the number of rounds they agreed to slug it out.

Tyson's camp also has to meet a few more requirements, including medical prerequisites, to participate in the fight.

Officials will also monitor Tyson's training and sparring sessions.

"Combative sports staff, in collaboration with ringside physicians appointed to the Texas Combative Sports Advisory Board, review the results of each contestant's required medical tests to ensure they are physically able to compete, including additional testing, as required or requested," Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation spokesperson Tela Goodwin Mange said in a statement.

The match will be held on July 20 at the Dallas Cowboys stadium and livestreamed via Netflix.

Expect both fighters to go all in, as knockouts are permitted since it is now a professional fight.

There is a total of eight rounds, and each spans two minutes.

The two fighters will use 14-ounce gloves and will not wear headgear.

Each fighter's boxing record

There is a huge age discrepancy between the two fighters. Iron Mike will be 58 a month before the fight is staged, while Paul is only 27.

Jake Paul, who started his public career as a Youtuber, has fought in 11 boxing fights, ten of them in the professional ranks.

His current pro record is 9-1, with his only loss coming from British professional boxer Tommy Fury.

He scored victories against professional MMA fighters like Nate Diaz, Anderson Silva, and Tyron Woodley.

Tyson, of course, is an infamous boxer. He is regarded as the Baddest Man on Earth for his reputation in and out of the boxing ring.

He fought in 58 bouts, 44 of which via knockout.
