The Phoenix Suns are in dangerous territory after falling behind 0-2 in their first-round series against the Minnesota Timberwolves. They lost Game 2 by a score of 105-93 on Tuesday, April 23, at the Target Center in Minnesota.

Suns legend and current TNT analyst Charles Barkley acknowledged that his former team was in trouble, highlighting two critical reasons during the post-game analysis on "Inside the NBA."

"They never addressed the point guard situation, they definitely needed a point... They didn't even need a great point guard, they just needed a serviceable point guard," the 61-year-old analyst said on the show.

The 1993 NBA Most Valuable Player explained that the Suns need their top three guys, Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal, to finish plays rather than initiate them.

This adjustment would enable the Suns to play much faster, neutralizing the Wolves' size advantage.

The Suns had one of the greatest point guards of all time on their roster last season, Chris Paul, but they traded him to acquire Beal last summer.

Charles Barkley points out another player needed by the Suns

Barkley mentioned that the Suns need an additional big man in addition to a point guard to improve their performance.

The 11-time All-Star noted that the Timberwolves have two of the best big men in the game in Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert.

This makes it tough for the Suns to score from halfcourt, especially in the playoffs, where the game slows down, highlighting their deficiencies in the point guard spot and the big man position.
