Tuesday brings another full day of Major League Baseball action, and another slate of player prop picks to attack.

Congratulations to you if you were holding an under 2.5 batters into the game Aaron Boone ejection ticket yesterday, as that certainly paid out handsomely.

Here are three player props for Tuesday that we like, headlined by some talented young starting pitchers.

MLB Player Prop: Andrew Abbott (CIN) Over 5.5 Strikeouts +112

In his four starts this year, Abbott has only gone over this line once, and it came in his last start against Seattle. I believe he can do it again against the Phillies today.

This line looks high based on his strikeout numbers so far this year, but factoring in Abbott's rookie performance in 2023, this is a discount of the sort that may not last.

In 2023, Abbott punched out 120 hitters in 109.1 innings pitched, which is the sort of rate that makes 5.5 at plus money a great bet.

The Phillies also strike out at a higher rate than the average team, ranking 12th in the major leagues in that regard so far.

MLB Player Prop: Grayson Rodriguez (BAL) Over 6.5 Strikeouts +100

This is another line that feels like an early-season discount on a talented hurler. Rodriguez has been outstanding in his four starts so far this season, going 3-0 with a 2.63 ERA.

He gets to face a porous Angels lineup tonight, and we've already seen him dominate this group in his first start of the season, when he went six innings while striking out nine hitters and allowing just one run.

We've already seen him clear this number in this matchup with ease, and the Angels lineup is not good enough to count on them to make adjustments to avoid a similar fate.

MLB Player Prop: Kevin Gausman (TOR) Over 5.5 Strikeouts -128

Heading from two young starters to a talented veteran, look to back Kevin Gausman tonight against the Kansas City Royals.

Gausman has struggled so far this season as he's progressed back to health from an injury that limited him through Spring Training,

He seemed to turn a corner in his last start against the Yankees, holding the Bombers to one run in five innings while striking out six.

The Royals got off to a hot start this season, but have cooled off considerably recently, making the team potentially a bit more tense at the plate and setting Gausman up to carve through the young lineup with relative ease.
