San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama recently concluded a standout debut season in the NBA, following significant anticipation surrounding his arrival.

The Frenchman participated in an interview with Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer, which was released on Tuesday, April 18.

While it's no secret that some young NBA players indulge themselves after receiving their first big paycheck as a professional player, Wembanyama does not partake in such activities.

"I feel like I'm immune to the distractions like partying, alcohol, drugs. Like, why would I ever do that? I don't have nothing to compensate for, because I choose to face all the things that we have inside of us," the 7-foot-4 phenom said.

Wembanyama averaged 21.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 3.6 blocks, and 1.2 steals per game in his rookie year.

Victor Wembanyama reveals two main role models and summer plans

The league's leader in blocks this season revealed that his biggest basketball role models growing up are Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant and Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Wembanyama also shared that he plans to add a move to his game this summer inspired by Durant. In this move, he subtly stops and gets the defender off balance for a brief moment, capitalizing on the opportunity to attack.

The top overall pick admitted that he attempted to execute it in practice but found it too challenging.
