Tonight at 10:30 p.m. ET inside the Staples Center in Los Angeles, a potential Westrn Conference Finals preview will be underway featuring the Clippers (16-9) and San Antonio Spurs (19-4) in NBA action that can be live streamed here. Spurs fans can listen to the game on 1200 WOAI, while Clips fans can listen to the action on KFWB 980 AM.
Tonight's matchup features a scintillating battle at point guard between L.A.'s Chris Paul and San Antonio's Tony Parker. Parker leads the Spurs in points per game, scoring 18.5 a night, while Paul is pacing the league with 11.5 dimes a game.
Paul and the high-flying Clippers have generated a lot of buzz because of their prolific offense so far, but the Spurs are averaging about the same number of points on a nightly basis. That fact hasn't escaped Clippers big man Blake Griffin.
"It's a test, a good test," Griffin said. "To be away for a long period of time and come home and play a top-notch team, a team that always executes and plays the right way, so that's why I think it will be a good test for us."
Griffin hopes to take advantage of a struggling Tim Duncan, who has shown signs of his advancing age in this campaign. "It's not really that hard to do much better," Duncan said of his own play. "I'm still not shooting the ball well, but I'm trying to play hard and find ways to contribute."
Duncan has his teammates firmly behind him though, especially Parker. "We were never worried about Timmy. I've been saying (it) since the beginning of the season," Parker said. "He's the last guy we ever need to worry about. But now he's getting aggressive and he's getting his shot back."
