Lions Boost Offensive Line by Signing Pro Bowl Guard

Numerous reputable NFL sources report that the Detroit Lions have secured the services of Pro Bowl guard Kevin Zeitler and are finalizing a one-year deal agreement.

The Lions will mark Zeitler's fifth NFL team, adding to his previous experience with the Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, and Baltimore Ravens.

The 34-year-old veteran was scheduled to fly to Detroit on Monday evening, March 18, for a physical exam. Pending the results, according to league insider Adam Schefter of ESPN, Zeitler will officially sign his contract with the Lions the following day.

Zeitler had previously indicated that a return to Baltimore seemed "obvious" last month. However, circumstances have apparently changed since then.

The signing of Zeitler strengthens the Lions' offensive line, providing crucial support for star quarterback Jared Goff and elevating their offensive strategies.

Despite consistently stellar performances throughout his career, he only earned his first Pro Bowl nod in February during his 12th NFL season, while playing for the Ravens last year.

Renowned for his durability, Zeitler has accumulated an impressive 12,263 snaps, making him the offensive lineman with the highest snap count since entering the league as the 27th overall pick in 2012.

Throughout his career, he has participated in 91.9% of his teams' offensive snaps.
