Today at 1:00 p.m. ET the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-9), who have come a long way from their early season woes will face a very tough test against the San Francisco 49ers (9-4) who are coming off a major win against the Seattle Seahawks one week ago. Watch today's clash on Fox, or live stream it here. 49ers fans can listen to the game on KNBR 680, while Bucs fans can do the same on 620 WDAE.

The 49ers sound like a group emboldened by the big win last Sunday. "We look at the season in quarters. It's the fourth quarter now," 49ers running back Frank Gore said. "We want to be that team that gets to the next level and take that trophy. We're taking small steps and we still have a lot to learn. But that's a good thing."

Safety Donte Whitner, known for bone-crushing hits sounded similar to Gore; "I think we showed a championship effort (last week)," Whitner said. "I think everybody around the country knows who the 49ers are now. That was a championship football game in a playoff atmosphere and we just made a few more plays than they made."

Bucs coach Greg Schiano had nothing but praise for the 49ers, who represented the NFC in last season's Super Bowl. "This is going to be a heck of a challenge. Frank Gore, Colin Kaepernick, Anquan Boldin -- you're talking about really fine players. They're a really good team in all three phases."

The Niners respect the Bucs too, especially with their solid play in the more recent weeks. "We know we're going to get their best shot," defensive back Eric Wright said. "Their record may not reflect the type of ability and the type of team they are. It's a team that's going to throw it all out there on the line."
