The 2024 NBA Three-Point Contest is just around the corner, scheduled to take place as part of the Saturday festivities of the All-Star Weekend on February 17.

The event will be hosted at the Lucas Oil Stadium, the home of the NFL's Indianapolis Colts, in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana.

The Three-Point Contest is traditionally one of the most eagerly awaited events during the All-Star Weekend, and this year's edition promises excitement as more sharpshooters emerge around the league.

Last year's winner, Damian Lillard, has confirmed that he will be looking to retain his title now as a member of the Milwaukee Bucks.

5 Players we want to see in the 2024 3-Point Contest

1. Grayson Allen

Allen has emerged as a standout player for the Phoenix Suns in his first season with the team. Notably, the 28-year-old boasts the highest 3-point percentage in the entire NBA at 49.3 percent, a career-best for the 6-foot-4 swingman while making an average of 2.8 per contest.

Allen's impressive shooting performance is highlighted by shooting splits of 51.0 percent from the field, 49.3 percent from beyond the arc, and 90.3 percent from the free-throw line, making him the sole qualified player in the league to achieve the prestigious 50/40/90 stat line this year.

2. Norman Powell

Powell has proven to be a dependable perimeter threat for the star-studded Los Angeles Clippers, providing additional firepower alongside stars like Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, James Harden, and Russell Westbrook.

The 6-foot-4 shooting guard currently holds the sixth position in the league for three-point percentage, consistently making an average of 2.0 three-pointers per game.

3. Coby White

White is experiencing a sensational season with the Chicago Bulls, suggesting a potential breakout year and solidifying his role as their franchise point guard, a notable achievement after a somewhat underwhelming start to his career as a high draft pick.

The 23-year-old point guard currently ranks sixth in the league for total three-pointers made, boasting an impressive 40 percent shooting accuracy from beyond the arc while averaging 2.8 three-pointers per game.

4. Lauri Markkanen

Markkanen has maintained his status as one of the NBA's elite players, delivering another productive season for the Utah Jazz.

The seven-foot center currently holds the ninth position in the league for three-pointers made per game, averaging 3.2 makes from beyond the arc. Impressively, he achieves this with a shooting accuracy of 39.4 percent, showcasing a valuable addition to his already well-rounded game.

5. Tyrese Maxey

Maxey's role for the Philadelphia 76ers has expanded notably since the departure of James Harden via trade earlier this season.

The 23-year-old point guard currently stands eleventh in the league for total three-pointers made, averaging 3.1 per game. Additionally, he ranks seventh in the league for total points with 129.

The 6-foot-2 player has elevated his offensive responsibilities, and despite the departure of one of their stars, the 76ers continue to pose a threat under his increased contribution.
