WrestleMania 30 Rumor [VIDEO]: John Cena, Hulk Hogan Tag Team Match; Hulkamania Update?

The recent backstage reports regarding a Hulk Hogan return to the WWE and a subsequent match at WrestleMania XXX in New Orleans on April 6 hinted at a possible tag team match that would pair Hogan with World Heavyweight Champion John Cena at the biggest show of the year, and now reports indicate that comments Cena made publicly about the Hulkster were done in order to fuel speculation about the match.

Hogan's TNA contract expired in October and reports were that he was "training like a madman" to return to the WWE for a match at WrestleMania, and when Cena was approached by TMZ and asked about a Hogan return, he implied that Hogan may have been too old to wrestle while also stating that he'd love to see "The Hulkster" at the event.

"We operate at a high level of speed in the WWE nowadays," Cena told TMZ earlier this month. "I think you can't have a WrestleMania 30 without Hulk Hogan. I really truly hope he's there in my heart of hearts because as WrestleMania turns 30 I think we need the Hulkster, but we'll see if we can get him there to do whatever he can do."

Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that Cena hinting at Hogan possibly not being able to keep up with the younger guys has significance to it rather than being an off-the-cuff remark and that Cena wasn't bashing Hogan publicly but rather teasing at something for business. The site also reports that people close to Hogan said that there was no way he should be wrestling at the age of 60.

However, there have been rumors about Hogan and Cena tagging, which would be able to limit Hogan's time in the ring and impact his body would have to take at WrestleMania. It's conceivable that Cena's comments may lead to Hogan coming back to WWE and saying that he can keep up with the young guys leading to the tag match for Hogan to prove himself.

Hogan caught up with TMZ last month and said that he would definitely be at WrestleMania, but likely as a fan.

"I haven't been to WrestleMania for years," Hogan told TMZ. "My new wife Jennifer, she's never been to one brother. I'm gonna have to wear masks like Mil Mascaras and sit in the front row," he quipped.

It was reported that on this past Monday's episode of Monday Night RAW, the WWE aired videos of Hogan during the commercial breaks to the live crowd and it was seen as a way to prep the audience for Hogan's eventual return.

Whether or not he wrestles at WrestleMania remains to be seen, but it seems as though Hogan will undoubtedly be in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in some capacity on April 6.
