As we kickoff into the NFL's Week 15 with tonight's Thursday Night divisional matchup between the AFC West's Los Angeles Chargers and the Las Vegas Raiders; here is an updated playoff picture as tonight's game weighs heavily on these two teams fighting for a wild card playoff spot.

NFL AFC Wild Card

Now the American Football Conference's playoff hunt is wide open with six of the wild card contending teams standing at 7-6.  These teams include the following: the Pittsburgh Steelers, Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans, Denver Broncos, Cincinnati Bengals, and the Buffalo Bills.  Below them are four teams holding onto playoff hopes by a thread, with their records standing at 5-8.  These teams are: the Los Angeles Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders, New York Jets, and the Tennessee Titans.

The outliers in this conference consist of the Cleveland Browns, being the best of the rest in the wild card hunt, holding an 8-5 record.  And the fallen dynasty of the New England Patriots, eliminated from the playoff hunt with a record of 3-10.

NFL AFC Division Leaders

Division leaders are as such: Baltimore Ravens having the one seed in the AFC North, Miami Dolphins at the two from the AFC East, Kansas City Chiefs from the AFC West at the three spot, and Jacksonville Jaguars at the four representing the AFC South.  Although these teams hold the best records of their divisions, no team can be deemed unbeatable.

The Ravens got into a shootout with the Los Angeles Rams, who stand at 6-7 in the NFC, and luckily came away with the win with an overtime touchdown scored on a punt return.  The Jaguars are limping their way to the regular season end as leaders in the AFC South; with their star quarterback Trevor Lawrence playing through a bad ankle sprain.  Miami has yet to convincingly defeat a playoff condensing team and Kansas City is melting down, looking like a shell of the Super Bowl Champs of the past season.
