The Green Bay Packers host the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, December 3, at Lambeau Field, looking to pull the rug from under the reigning Super Bowl champions.

The Packers vs. Chiefs Week 13 matchup should be interesting as both teams ramp up their NFL playoff chances. But of the two teams, Green Bay needs the win direly.

Currently, at 5-6, the Packers are trying to push their chances for a playoff spot in the NFC. They are coming off a big 29-22 win over the Detroit Lions last November 23, per The Athletic.

On the other end, the Chiefs will play their second-straight road game on Sunday. They are coming off a 31-17 win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 12 action last November 26 via Chiefs.com.

Packers vs. Chiefs Week 13 Odds, Spread, Betting Lines

Heading into this Week 13 matchup, the Chiefs are 6-point spread favorites to prevail over the Packers per BetMGM via NBC 15. The Moneyline is set at -275 for Kansas City and +220 for Green Bay.

Despite holding home-field advantage, the Packers must work hard to prove oddsmakers wrong. But that could be easier said than done, especially against a fancied team like the Chiefs. Jordan Love may need to step up anew for Green Bay to turn the tables on Patrick Mahomes and company.

Packers vs. Chiefs Week 13 Preview

The Packers will have to play with a sense of urgency on Sunday to ramp up their bid for an NFC playoff spot. While all eyes will be on Love, the focus will also be on other players who can step up.

But the injury bug has added a twist to Green Bay's chances this early. After Friday's practice, Packers coach Matt LaFleur revealed that running back Aaron Jones will remain out, missing his second straight game for Green Bay, USA Today reported.

Jones is dealing with a knee injury he incurred in the Packers' win over the Los Angeles Chargers last November 19. He was not around in the Thanksgiving victory of Green Bay over Detroit and has not practiced at all this week.

Hence, Love will have to come out with the same performance he had against the Lions for the Packers to have a chance. He had one of his best games so far this season with a career-high three touchdowns.

Green Bay needs to do better on defense. They are 18th in total defense this season and 23rd against the run. They need to do better and make life harder for Mahomes to have a chance at victory.

On the other side, the Chiefs cannot take the Packers lightly. Although they are 4-1 on the road, they must not let their guard down against Green Bay and start slow as they did against the Raiders.

Kansas City is expected to rely on its offense again, which is 8th in the league at the moment. They are 17th on the ground and 7th through the air. Defensively, the Chiefs are fourth in total defense. They are 28th against the run and 13th against the pass this season.

Packers vs. Chiefs Week 13 Pick

Without question, the Chiefs are huge favorites despite being the visiting team. The Packers will have to scamper to pull this one off despite the huge odds.

It will take more than a good game for Love and company to boost their playoff bid. Kansas City is getting it done on both ends of the field, so

it will be interesting to see what LaFleur will have up his sleeve.
