WWE Superstar CM Punk holds an iconic status in professional wrestling. Recognized for his charismatic and outspoken persona, the "Straight-Edge Superstar" has garnered a global following due to his massive appeal among fans.

Named Phillip Jack Brooks in real life, Punk's rise to fame in WWE occurred in the late 2000s when he secured the World Heavyweight Championship and embarked on a historic 434-day reign as WWE Champion from 2011 to 2013, marking the eighth longest in the company's history.

After parting ways with WWE in 2014 due to differences, Punk took a hiatus from professional wrestling and entered the world of mixed martial arts, participating in two fights with the UFC.

In a highly anticipated comeback, Punk returned to professional wrestling in August 2021 with rival promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW), achieving success with two AEW World Championship victories during his two-year tenure.

However, Punk's tenure at AEW faced challenges, including injuries and disciplinary issues. A backstage altercation during the company's All In pay-per-view event at Wembley Stadium in August 2023 led to his release from the promotion by President and CEO Tony Khan.

In a surprising twist, Punk returned to WWE on November 25, 2023, during their Survivor Series: WarGames pay-per-view without prior announcement, marking his comeback after nine years away from the promotion.

Aside from his well-known stints in the WWE and AEW, Punk also spent time with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) and Ring of Honor (ROH) in the early 2000s.

CM Punk's Wealth

During the initial phase of his tenure in WWE in 2006, Punk reportedly earned an annual salary ranging between $200,000 to $300,000, per figures from Essentially Sports.

By 2011, considered his breakout year, Punk's annual earnings had already reached $1 million. This figure escalated to $1.3 million in 2012-13 and increased to $1.7 million in 2013-14. Additionally, Punk earned an extra $200,000 as the cover star for the WWE 2K13 video game back in 2012.

While away from wrestling, Punk made around $2 million from his two lackluster UFC fights, mainly due to name recognition.

While the details of Punk's contract with AEW were not publicly disclosed, speculations suggested that he earned $3 million per year during his two-year tenure with the promotion, according to First Sportz

Punk's AEW comeback T-shirt achieved a record-breaking milestone as the best-selling design in the history of the retailer Pro Wrestling Tees in just 72 hours.

In October 2023, while attempting to make a comeback in professional wrestling, Impact Wrestling (TNA) allegedly couldn't meet Punk's salary demands, with the figure reportedly being on the steep side.

The details of his current new WWE contract remain confidential, but reports suggest a "behavior clause" to prevent disciplinary issues that plagued his AEW stint.
