Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce offered a compelling perspective when comparing his quarterback teammate, Patrick Mahomes, with NFL legend Tom Brady, who is widely considered the greatest quarterback of all time.

The 34-year-old made an appearance in the I AM ATHLETE podcast to discuss about the topic about the two iconic signal callers.

During the conversation, Kelce emphasized that Brady had a strong support system comprising top-tier talents on both offense and defense throughout his career.

"Obviously, I got all the respect for Tom Brady.. He's the GOAT and the best to ever do it. But I think right now the rate Pat is at, how he's doing it, I think it's more all on Pat than it was on Brady," Kelce claimed.

Mahomes managed to attain his impressive success with a relatively less group of supporting cast members, as Kelce suggested.

Kelce has belief on Mahomes passing Brady

The four-time First Team All-Pro selection reaffirmed his stance, emphasizing his belief that Mahomes will ultimately surpass Brady in terms of achievements and accolades, but his quarterback teammate will need to put in a massive amount of work.

"I think he's going to play a long, long time. So I think he'll catch him in all the accolades, but I think the biggest thing is always going to be those Super Bowls. That's a lot of Super Bowls," Kelce added.

Mahomes is consistently ranked as the consensus top quarterback in the game today, as evidenced by the 2023 NFL Top 100 list.
