Aaron Hernandez Murder Case Update: Pen Pal Of Former Patriot Claims Accused Odin Lloyd Killer 'Enjoys Days' In Jail, Prison 'Not That Bad' [VIDEO]

Aaron Hernandez insists he's "way less stressed in jail than when I was out of jail."

In a pen pal letter the New York Daily reports was written by the former New England Patriots tight end to someone who has since leaked it to the media, Hernandez adds "I'm just anxious to go to trial to see what's up and prove my innocence."

Hernandez is being held without bail in the Bristol County House of Corrections, awaiting trial on first-degree murder charges in the execution-style slaying of one-time associate Odin Lloyd last summer.

"It's crazy I'm in the situation but I'm innocent and will be proven in court, without a doubt," writes Hernandez, whom The News adds pleads---clearly in vain--- with the letter's recipient not to release it to the general public.

Dated Nov. 17, 2013, Hernandez also claims in the letter "the media is the media, mostly bullsh**, rarely factual." He later adds "I really enjoy my days. It's not that bad, honestly. I'm just hoping I am out within these next few years, to get a chance to ball again."

The Patriots immediately severed ties with Hernandez after he was formally charged. The team also moved to strip him of a big chunk of the remaining owed him on the seven-year, $39 million contract he signed before the start of the 2012 season.

The NFL Players Association has since filed a grievance on Hernandez's behalf.
