Golden State Warriors' Klay Thompson hinted earlier this month that preferred to stay in the Bay Area. Most do not see the All-Star guard leaving the Bay Area, including former NBA player Gilbert Arenas.
"As long as he's on court, it's hard to double Steph...And he's truly the only psychopath on the team, mentally, where the concept of time and score doesn't matter," the 41-year-old said on "The Gilbert Arenas Show."

There is no doubt that despite his spate of injuries, Klay Thompson remains a dangerous player on the Warriors' roster. It is easier for the Dubs because the four-time NBA champion sounded off about wanting to stay in the Bay Area.
Thompson is projected to land a new multi-year deal that will pay him somewhere between $30 to $35 million. Unfortunately, nothing has come close to a new contract being signed, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Arenas' take comes not long after the 11th overall pick of the 2011 NBA Draft put up an eye-catching Instagram post to show the kind of energy he will bring to the Warriors this coming NBA season via SI.com.
Klay Thompson dialed in for the 2023 NBA season
Thompson's mindset for the coming NBA season does not appear to be affected by his contract situation.
However, it seems Thompson is hinting at using the upcoming NBA wars to show his true worth.
Hence, it may be indirectly an audition that may draw other NBA teams' attention.
The Dubs cannot rest easy and take Klay Thompson for granted. Although he prefers to stay in Dub City, there remains a chance he could get swayed into jumping ship if Golden State is not careful in handing him a new deal.
