Travis Kelce of the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs has become a polarizing figure with his rumored romance with American pop icon Taylor Swift. However, bigger things are coming, especially after the two-time Super Bowl champion responded to the request of NBA's Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James.

The four-time NBA champion has been following Travis Kelce's podcast and said he loves the show. Moreover, LeBron James said he wanted to be a guest on Kelce's "New Heights" podcast.

It didn't take long for the 33-year-old Kelce to respond to James' request, offering the 19-time All-Star a spot on the show via Bleacher Report.

"The (King)!!! Appreciate ya Bron. We'd be honored to have you bless the show! It's only right to get Northeast Ohio's finest on and talk some ball baby! Let's make it happen!!" Kelce said via his Twitter account.

Should James appear on Kelce's podcast, it would be a reunion of two Ohioans in one show. The podcast will live up to its name of new heights with the two sports icons.

As things stand now, the "New Heights" podcast is reportedly already at the no. 1 spot on Apple Podcasts, according to Madeline Berg of Business Insider. One can imagine how seeing Kelce and James in one show could make it potentially one of the most-watched podcast episodes on the web once that happens.

For now, Kelce and James need to focus on helping their respective teams. The Chiefs are off to a 3-1 start this NFL season while James is busy preparing for the Lakers' 2023-24 NBA campaign.
