The National Football League (NFL) felt the impact of world-famous pop star Taylor Swift during the Week 3 game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Chicago Bears last Sunday, September 24.
The Sunday night showdown on FOX Sports drew 24.3 million viewers on average, becoming the most-watched NFL game of the week.
The game, which resulted in a 41-10 Chiefs victory, also topped the list for female demographics aged 12 to 17 and 18 to 49 this week, according to Front Office Sports.
Meanwhile, Roku TV data reveals that the Chiefs-Bears game saw a significant jump compared to last week's Chiefs vs. Jacksonville Jaguars game aired on CBS at 1 PM ET in terms of female viewers from ages 18 to 49, with an incredible 63 percent increase.
Last Sunday's game also reached 10.2 million adults, a 61 percent increase, and 4.4 million households compared to 2.8 million last week.
Travis Kelce's jersey is selling like hotcakes
On the other hand, Kelce's number 87 Chiefs jersey saw a whopping 400 percent increase on Sunday, or five times more than usual, according to sports apparel and gear retailer Fanatics, the league's official merchandise partner.
The massive sales spike enabled the tight end's threads to be among the top five best-selling NFL jerseys.
The 33-year-old's jersey was not even among the top 10 best-selling jerseys around the league in their latest list released last August, while his older brother Jason, a center for the Philadelphia Eagles, was ranked fifth.
