Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was already one of the most popular players in the NFL, but his stardom reached new heights after dating rumors between him and Taylor Swift emerged.

Sports merchandise retailer Fanatics reported that jersey sales of the 33-year-old saw a whopping 400 percent increase, or five times more than usual last Sunday, September 24, after the "Love Story" singer was in attendance during the Chiefs-Bears game alongside Kelce's mother, Donna, while wearing Kansas City gear on the same day.

The huge sales increase enabled Kelce's number 87 uniform to land on the top five best-selling NFL jerseys.

The two-time Super Bowl winner also gained more than 300,000 followers on social media following the game, where the pop star cheered loudly after Kelce scored a touchdown in the middle of the third quarter.

The rumored couple were spotted leaving the Arrowhead Stadium together after the Chiefs' 41-10 win, and they were also seen driving around Kansas City in a convertible.

Rumors surfaced that Kelce rented a trendy restaurant in Kansas City for Swift, alongside his mother and teammates, to eat dinner.

Both Kelce and Swift reportedly indulged in cocktails and displayed affectionate behavior. Despite maintaining a lighthearted atmosphere, their affection was evident during the party, which lasted until 2 a.m. on Monday.
