LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers has revealed the real reason behind the shocking cardiac arrest of his son Bronny James last July 24 during practice with the USC Trojans.

The 38-year-old star said that after evaluations done by doctors from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, the Mayo Clinic, and Atlantic Health/ Morristown Medical Center, the probable cause of the USC Trojans freshman's sudden cardiac arrest was an anatomically and functionally significant Congenital Heart Defect, Shams Charania of The Athletic reported.

However, James added that this could be treated and that they are confident that Bronny James can make a full recovery and return to basketball soon.

The four-time NBA champion also promised to continue giving updates, requesting the public to continue respecting the family's privacy.

"We are very confident in Bronny's full recovery and return to basketball in the near future. We will continue to provide updates to media and respectfully reiterate the family's request for privacy," James stated.

The latest update on Bronny James comes weeks after that scary cardiac arrest incident. Although the 18-year-old was released from the hospital days after the health scare, no information or updates were released to the public on why and how it happened, Fox 11 reported.

The update also comes not long after LeBron and Bronny James were spotted at Drake's latest concert at the Crypto.com Arena on Monday, August 22.

The father and son duo entered the venue behind the American rapper and were given the VIP treatment.
