Tracy McGrady stood by his previous comments about San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama three weeks ago.

The NBA legend said then through GQ that the French rookie's skill set is not something the NBA hasn't seen, comparing him to Bol Bol and Kristaps Porzingis.

Fast forward to now, McGrady is showing some belief perseverance.

He said Wemby should not be a top dog because he will meet legit challenges in America, unlike in the French league.

"This is the NBA bro! He is going to be going up against some REAL dogs out here that are looking at that and is going to take offense to that, you know what I'm sayin'?" he said during sit down with Brandon "Scoop B" Robinson of Scoop B Radio Podcast.

"By him coming over from France and you think that he's going to be the top dog?.... It's going to be some guys over here on this soil that's going to challenge that so, let's let this play out. It's too much."

McGrady doubled down on his confusion concerning the Wemby hype, but he stands by his belief that he will develop into a great player by landing with the Spurs under the mentorship of team legends and Gregg Popovich.

Wembanyama's 2k rating will confuse T-Mac even more

T-Mac might get more agitated once he learns about Wembanyama's 2K rating that broke history.

The French center received an 84 rating from the video game, higher than what Lebron James, Kevin Durant, and Derrick Rose got when they made their debut.

Does Wemby deserve this rating, or was it the hype, just like what T-Mac said?
