It hurts to see someone you spent good and bad moments with go. It hurts even more when that person does not even say goodbye.
Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez is probably feeling the latter after former teammate Romelu Lukaku decided to turn his back on the Italian club even though it has been understood that he will join the club permanently.
As the captain, Martinez took it upon himself to know what was going on about Lukaku, but he said the Belgian never returned his call.
"I was disappointed, it's the truth," the captain told Gazzetta dello Sport.
I also tried to call him in those days of chaos; he never answered me, the same he did with my other companions."

He also rued the part that Lukaku did not even consider their moments together.
"After so many years together, after so many things lived together, I was disappointed. Thankfully, it's his choice," he said.
"I wish him the best. But I didn't expect this attitude."
Where to now, Lukaku?
Reports last month claimed that Lukaku, who was loaned by Inter Milan last season, decided to go AWOL after Juventus approached him.
Lukaku is still a Chelsea player, but even the Blues was ignored by the Belgian striker.
The latest report says Juventus has become more persistent in pursuing Lukaku as top officials of the Old Lady traveled to London to seal his signature.
Chelsea's new manager Mauricio Pochettino may have given a clue, too, on his future in the Premier League after dropping him for their U.S. tour.
