Lionel Messi continued to dazzle for Inter Miami, scoring a brace and providing an assist in his second game for the club en route to a dominant 4-0 win over Atlanta United in the Leagues Cup, held on Tuesday night at the DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The 36-year-old started the game and only needed nine minutes to put his name on the scoreboard, hitting the post first before striking the rebound with his right foot to give the home team the lead.

With his first goal of the night, Messi has now scored against 100 different clubs between his FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and Inter Miami stints. The goal was scored off a pass from prolific teammate Sergio Busquets.

The Argentine superstar scored his second of the night from a feed by Robert Taylor, who also scored two goals. Messi provided the assist on Inter Miami's final goal of the night, a left-footed strike by the 28-year-old Finn.

Miami is now one of the best teams in the MLS overnight

The team's incredible display comes at the expense of Atlanta United, seventh in the Eastern Conference of the MLS.

Inter Miami still sits dead last in the East since their two wins came in the Leagues Cup, not the league. MLS action will return in August following the conclusion of the tournament.

During this game, the club had their first three-goal lead at halftime in history, and they have yet to add Jordi Alba to their squad. The team looks like a formidable force moving forward.
