Jon Jones Next Fight: Cain Velasquez Would Be Favorite Over 'Bones'? 'Rampage' Jackson Wants To Break UFC Champ's Knee [VIDEO]

Jon Jones, the UFC's premier fighter, light heavyweight champion and pound-for-pound king seems willing to put the "pound-for-pound" distinction aside, and actually challenge Cain Velasquez in the near future. According to Las Vegas, that might be a mistake on the part of Jones.

BestFightOdds.com lists Velasquez as a three-to-one favorite should he step in the octagon with "Bones," which makes some sense considering Jones would need to add 10 pounds just to match what Velasquez usually weighs in at. A fight with Velasquez is likely not Jones' next endeavor, but he has been quoted as wanting the fight to occur before the end of 2014.

In the meantime, Jones will likely fight at least once more at light heavyweight. While he's dispatched most of the contenders, one man from his past wants another crack.

Quinton "Rampage" Jackson is on record as saying, "If I could, I would break his knee for him so he doesn't fight ever again." Jackson said Jones was dirty when the two squared off, and he resents Jones' failure at times to fight and win in entertaining fashion for the UFC fans.

"Jon Jones is an excellent fighter but he doesn't always put on a show for the fans so they aren't always happy with him," Jackson said. "He is a great athlete."

Unfortunately for Rampage, Jones next opponent is likely to be Glover Teixeira, whom Jackson sees as having all the tools to defeat Jones and erase the talk of a Velasquez superfight.

While "Rampage" likely will never get his desired opportunity at breaking Jones', he's now calling for longtime rival Tito Ortiz to take him on when he recovers from an injury. They were supposed to tangle last month for Bellator before Ortiz pulled out with a fractured knee.

"I know Tito had a very serious injury but I want this fight to happen and I am going to carry on working towards that," Jackson said. "I want to fight him, badly."
