Urban Meyer's career as head coach of Jacksonville started horribly, as the Jaguars lost six of their first seven games under his charge. Can he stop the losing rut in Week 9 and record his second career NFL win against AFC East leaders Buffalo in the Bills vs Jaguars showdown?
Buffalo Bills installed as -13.5 favorites
The Buffalo Bills will head to their showdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars with momentum on their side after crushing the Miami Dolphins, 26-11, in Week 8. It was a huge bounce-back win for the Bills, who suffered a gut-wrenching 34-31 loss to the Tennessee Titans before their bye week.
The Bills maintained their 1.5-game lead over the New England Patriots in the AFC East standings with the win. The victory was not easy for the Bills, who looked rusty after their one-week break. The Bills scored just three points in the first half as they headed into the halftime interval tied with the lowly Dolphins.
They managed to turn things around in the second half, scoring 23 points over their final four possessions to blow the game wide open late on. The Bills have now won their last seven games against the Dolphins, a series record. Buffalo has outscored Miami, 258-123, during that stretch.
Josh Allen is one guy who needs to step up for Buffalo in the Week 9 game against Jacksonville. He completed 29 of 42 passes for 249 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the win against Miami.

Jacksonville Jaguars enter Week 9 as +13.5 underdogs
Jacksonville's woes in the United States continued in Week 8 as the Jaguars suffered a humiliating 31-7 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. They had no answer for Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith, who completed 20 of 24 passes for 195 yards with two touchdowns.
The Jaguars are now 0-6 this season in games played in the USA, with their lone victory coming in their London game against the Miami Dolphins. Jacksonville failed to get it going against Seattle, with the Seahawks outscoring the Jaguars, 24-0, through the first three quarters.
Jamal Agnew ensured the Jaguars would not be shut out for the fourth time in franchise history, scoring a consolation touchdown with 1:49 remaining in the game. Trevor Lawrence struggled mightily in this encounter, completing just 32 of 54 passes for 238 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
Lawrence now has nine interceptions, tying Zach Wilson, Patrick Mahomes, Taylor Heinicke, and Joe Burrow for most picks this campaign. He will need to tidy up his play against a Bills defense that has already recorded 11 interceptions this season, the most in the NFL.
Writer's Prediction
Buffalo wins, but Jacksonville covers the spread.
