Today at 3:30 p.m. ET No. 1 Alabama (11-0, 7-0) will look to continue its unbeaten run through the loaded SEC in the Iron Bowl, when they square off with the surprisingly strong Auburn Tigers (10-1, 6-1) at Jordan-Hare Stadium on CBS in a game that can be live streamed free here. Alabama fans can listen to the game on 92.9 The Game, while Auburn fans can tune in to 102.5 The Game to hear the radio broadcast.
At this stage of the season, an Alabama loss likely knocks them from the BCS Championship picture, adding pressure on top of an already-fierce rivalry. 'Bama quarterback A.J. McCarron tends to be cool as a cucumber in any circumstance, and said the Tide is treating Auburn like any opponent they'd face during the season.
"I really don't care what their record is," he said. "They're still the next team in our way trying to take what we've worked for."
Tigers running back Jay Prosch sounded a similar tune, but more readily admitted the magnitude of the game. "It feels like we've been preparing for every other team, not really anything different," Prosch said. "We all know it's a huge game and we're going to play our hearts out, preparing like we normally do."
The Tigers actually enter the contest scoring more points per game than the Tide, dropping 39 a week on their opponents. Defensively though, Alabama's been nearly impenetrable, giving up a mere 9.3 points on average to Auburn's 22.3.
In games like this running the ball becomes paramount, and both squads have a strong rushing attack. Alabama is led by T.J. Yeldon, who has struck paydirt 12 times on the ground this season in addition to 1,022 yards. For Auburn, the backfield star is Tre Mason, who has toted the pigskin 208 times for 1,153 yards and 17 touchdowns.
