The ex-wife of former major league pitcher Kris Benson tells Dr. Phil she was "laying on the bed" and thought the estranged couple was about to have sex when she was arrested by Atlanta police for assaulting her husband, according ATLAW.com.
Prosecutors later deemed the 37-year-old model and reality TV star "a menace to society" and charged her with a slew of weapons-related charges as well as breaking into her ex-husband's home.. After spending four months behind bars, Anna Benson is slated to appear on an upcoming episode of the Dr. Phil Show next week where she boasts "I'm the most famous wife in sports history since Marilyn Monroe."
Benson was sentenced to 15 years probation earlier this month and in seeking such a harsh sentence prosecutors told a Cobb County judge when she entered her ex-husband's home she had a gun, an ammo belt and metal baton and was wearing a bulletproof vest. As part of her sentence she has also been ordered to complete psychiatric treatment.
During her Dr. Phil appearance, Anna Benson hardly sounded remorseful, telling her interviewer "I know a lot about defense, I can handle a weapon and if you want to take me out you better be on your damn game, perched up on a mountain with a really long rifle... because I'm a bada** bi***."
