Tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET England will host Germany in a highly anticipated international friendly at Wembley Stadium which could be a precursor to a World Cup clash. Watch the match on Fox Sports 1 or live stream it by clicking this link.
Goalie Joe Hart is being reinstated as goalie following a 2-0 loss to Chile on Friday, while Daniel Sturridge will be back in the starting lineup having healed from a foot injury.
England coach Roy Hodgson sounds very confident about returning Hart to his post, despite some up-and-down play this year that led to a benching in favor of Fraser Forster.
"I am sure he will respond very well," Hodgson said. "He is a proud man and very pleased to be playing for England. We have had no cause to doubt him in the qualifying games and also the Euros." Hart has only allowed one goal for England since August.
Tonight's meeting will be the first between the two sides since the 2010 World Cup, where Germany dispatched England by a score of 4-1. Germany should prove a difficult matchup, having only lost one match in 2013.
The German side is dealing with several injuries to key players heading into this tilt, that is forcing a slew of lineup changes. German coach Joachim Löw will be without his captain, Philipp Lahm, Manuel Neuer, and star striker Mesut Ozil, as well as midfielder Sami Khedira.
These stars will be replaced by relatively green players, which could enhance England's chances of reversing a trend that has seen the English drop four out of their last five matches against the Germans at Wembley.
