Tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET the Iona Gaels (1-1) will face the Kansas Jayhawks (2-0) in what figured to be their toughest test of the entire season. Live stream the game for free by clicking this link; Iona fans can listen to their Gaels try and contain Andrew Wiggins on 1230 WFAS, while Kansas fans can tune in to KJHK 90.7 FM.

This game will be Kansas' first since a big-time win over Duke and their own one-and-done candidate Jabari Parker. In that game Wiggins found himself in early foul trouble before netting 16 of his 22 points in the second half. He was helped out by sophomore Perry Ellis' team-high 24 points.

"Big players make big plays," Wiggins said. "I think our whole team, whoever was on the court, every possession we made a big play."

Early wins over Duke can lead to a collective big head, but Bill Self thinks the Jayhawks have a lot of room for improvement. He lauded the team's heart but wants better execution going forward.

"We didn't really play well in either exhibition game and didn't play great against Louisiana-Monroe, but I did like how our guys responded on the big stage against Duke," Self said. "I'm excited. I'm excited about where we're headed. I'm not thrilled about where we're at, but I do see a lot of potential."

Self also said that the tough competition has highlighted their flaws, which is good in the long-term. "There's so many things that we've got to do to improve, and I think we will," Self said. "We've been fortunate. We've been exposed, but we've also won. And that's probably the best combination you can actually have."

Kansas' defensive focus will be on Iona's senior guard Sean Armand, who is averaging 18.5 points per game and hitting 40 percent of his 3-pointers.
