Indiana Pacers Unbeaten Team: Can Pacers Break Record Start? [VIDEO]

The Indiana Pacers are the only unbeaten team in the NBA, continuing their hot start with a 104-77 trashing of the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night and setting their sights on pulling away this early and potentially breaking the all-time record for best start in a season.

The Pacers are now three games ahead of the two time defending champions Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference and four games ahead of the Chicago Bulls in the Central Division. Interestingly, the Pacers are also just six wins away from matching the best start in league history at 15-0 made by the 1948-49 Washington Capitols and the 1993-94 Houston Rockets.

Pacers coach Frank Vogel insists the team is bent only on one thing and that is to get homecourt advantage throughout the playoffs. He tells Yahoo! Sports that: "Every game could be the difference between home-court advantage and not having home-court advantage, whether we're playing team with a losing record on the road or a great team like Chicago, it doesn't matter. We're on a mission and we're trying to put ourselves in best possible position come playoff time.''

The Pacers look for their 10th straight victory against the struggling Chicago Bulls on Saturday night. The schedule looks in favor of the Pacers as they try to chase the record. They'll have a game against the New York Knicks three days after the Chicago game, then have two games against Boston before returning home to face the Sixers. They close out the month by hosting the dangerous Minnesota Timberwolves and then face the Charlotte Bobcats and Washington Wizards.
