Tonight at 9:00 p.m. ET the No. 13 UCLA Bruins (7-2, 4-2) will try to get their fifth Pac-12 victory of the season at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena when they take on the Washington Huskies (6-2, 3-3) on ESPN2 in college football action that can be live streamed free here. Huskies fans can listen to the game on 950 KJR, while UCLA fans can tune in to KLAC AM 570.
UCLA is likely to be without running back Jordon James again this week, which means more playing time for two-way stud freshman Myles Jack, who doubles as one of UCLA's top linebackers.
Last week, Jack piled up 120 yards on the ground while getting just six carries; that total includes a 66-yard touchdown run. He was all over the field on defense too, amassing eight tackles, one for loss, to go with a fumble recovery and two pass defenses.
UCLA coach Jim Mora doesn't want expectations to run wild, though. "It worked, but there's a saturation point," Mora said. "Everyone is going to want to see this and they think it's great, but what they forget is coaches are now prepared for it and they're going to have an answer."
When asked whether Jack will see more work on both sides of the ball, Mora was non-committal. "It's depends on the situation," said Mora. "We're not going to do something just to gimmick. It's got to have merit."
They also can lean on star quarterback Brett Hundley to spearhead the air attack. After a blowout against Oregon, Hundley's rebounded to complete 37-of-49 passes for 500 yards in the next two games.
The Huskies should not be overlooked tonight though, as the enter play averaging more points per game (37.2) than UCLA and allowing around the same number as the Bruins. "It'll be a good game," said Mora. "It'll be exciting. They're a good football team and there's a lot at stake. It'll be a fun environment in the Rose Bowl."
