While Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Jonathan Martin doesn't seem to have many allies in the locker room following his abrupt departure from the team in response to alleged bullying, he apparently has a strong friend in his corner outside the gridiron-Jon "Bones" Jones.

The UFC light heavyweight champion, and consensus top pound-for-pound fighter in mixed martial arts recently said he would take down Richie Incognito, the ringleader of Martin's bullying. Prior to beginning the interview, though, Jones didn't even know who Incognito was.

The hosts of Sports Junkies, a popular show in Washington D.C. gave Jones a quick rundown on Incognito, telling him, "He's just this big meathead . . . Probably 6'3, 6'4, 340. So if it's Richie Incognito against Jon Jones, what's gonna happen?"

Jones responded, "I'd kill him . . . Someone tweet him and let him know I'd smoke him easy." Then the hosts filled him in on what Incognito is accused of; besides bullying Martin, the burly lineman is accused of sexually harassing a woman at a Dolphins golf outing and rubbing his genitals on him.

The hosts asked Jones to deliver a beatdown, to which he responded, "It would be my honor. I'm gonna start threatening him on Twitter today."

While Jones' big words are almost certainly just talk, inside the octagon Bones' next fight is scheduled to be against Glover Teixeira, even though his war with Alexander Gustafsson had most fight fans clamoring for a rematch. Gustafsson was placed into a match with Rogerio Noguiera, which Jones complained was an easy fight designed for him to get a quick rematch.

"Jon, I love ya, (but) you're not a matchmaker," UFC president Dana White said. "Fight your fight, he'll fight his fight, and don't worry about it. It makes it sound like you're worried about it. When you talk like that, it makes it sound like you're worried about it."
