Today at 1:00 p.m. ET the Seattle Seahawks (8-1) will look to get back to playing four complete quarters against the depleted Atlanta Falcons (2-6) who are hoping to get wide receiver Roddy White back and healthy. The Seahawks have a lofty record, but haven't been satisfied with their overall level of play. Linebacker Bobby Wagner said, "Understanding that we gotta come out fast and finish," when asked about taking down the Falcons after blowing a late lead in the NFC playoffs last postseason. "We get another opportunity to play these guys. Last year they kicked us out of the playoffs, so you kinda get an opportunity to pay them back."

Steven Jackson may be a big factor today, as the Falcons will look to pound the rock against a defense that's been surprisingly pliable. Against the pass, however, the Seahawks are surrendering just 179 yards per game and lead the league with 13 interceptions. Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan has tossed seven picks and just two touchdowns in the last two games, both Atlanta losses.

"I think everybody is disappointed with where we're at, there's no question about it," Ryan said. "I think there were high expectations for our football team coming into the year, but certainly things have not gone as we'd hoped.

"You've got to keep plugging away. You've got to keep working hard and try to find ways to make it better. I think that's what all of us are trying to do."

The Falcons are hoping White returns to the field to open things up for Matty Ice, whose main issue seems to be forcing the action.
