Today at 1:00 p.m. ET Chip Kelly's Philadelphia Eagles (4-5) who ran the Oakland Raiders off their own field last week behind seven touchdown passes from Nick Foles, will hit the Lambeau Field in Green Bay with eyes on a .500 record against the Packers (5-3), who will be without their leader. The Pack will be rolling with Seneca Wallace at quarterback while Aaron Rodgers' broken collarbone mends. Expect Green Bay to lean on their Mack truck at running back, rookie Eddie Lacy, until Rodgers is ready to return.
According to the Packers, Rodgers isn't expected to miss the entire remainder of the season. "I'm relieved, no doubt," coach Mike McCarthy said. "How long? We don't have our hands around a timeline yet, but I know Aaron is very optimistic and he'll do everything he can to get back in a timely fashion."
The Eagles have had injuries at quarterback too, with Michael Vick's maladies being the worst of the bunch. Vick is in danger of not returning to the starter's role once he's healthy either. Foles was electric against the Raiders last week, but has also struggled mightily with consistency.
"I think what happened in the Cowboys game was such a surprise to everybody because that's not what Nick expects out of himself, not what we expect out of him," Kelly said. "I thought that what happened in the Cowboys game was an exception, not the rule. That's not the Nick Foles I know."
Foles shouldn't be expected to duplicate his performance this week, or ever again really. What can be expected, though, is a lot of running. Both squads carry elite rushers who have clean bills of healthy; Eddie Lacy will be wearing the yellow helmet while LeSean "Shady" McCoy plies his trade in Philadelphia.
