Tonight at 8:00 p.m., Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater will look to keep putting distance between the Cardinals (7-1) loss to Central Florida two weeks ago and pad his Heisman Trophy resume against the UConn Huskies (0-7). The game will be shown on ESPN2, and can be live streamed free here. Louisville fans can listen to the game on WHAS 840 AM, while UConn fans can listen for a major upset on WTIC News Talk 1080.

Louisville rebounded from the disappointing loss to UCF by holding South Florida's offense to 133 total yards in a 34-3 beating. "We dragged around for about three or four days after that loss," defensive coordinator Vance Bedford said. "What we told them is this: 'Don't let that game beat you twice. Let's get back to who we are.' ... They were back to having fun."

Bridgewater's Heisman candidacy took a hit with the loss, but his stellar numbers, 2,557 yards, 23 touchdowns, two interceptions, will keep him in the running. Tonight's game could be an opportunity to amass video game stats against a winless team with a defense coughing up more than 35 points a game.

For Louisville to make the kind of noise they planned on this year, though, the defense will need to match Bridgewater's brilliance. "When the ball is in the air, I want them to have the attitude that the ball is our ball," Bedford said. "I need more guys to feel that way. ... When we get that mindset, I'll be ready to say I'm excited."

As for UConn, they believe they have the necessary weapons to compete with the No. 7 Cardinals. "It's hard to say we're deficient. We've got some weapons. I'm not going to say it's a lack of talent," interim coach T.J. Weist said. "We'd like more depth, more explosiveness in certain areas, but we have talent. We've got to keep pushing to find answers."

UConn upset then No. 19 Louisville last year. This season Louisville enters the tilt ranked seventh in the country.
