Tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET the Brooklyn Nets (2-2) are looking to start establishing themselves as an Eastern Conference power following a thrashing of the Utah Jazz on Tuesday. They'll travel to Washington to face the struggling Wizards (1-3) who picked up their first win of the year Wednesday against the Philadelphia 76ers. Live stream the game here; Nets fans can listen to the action on 101.9 WFAN FM, while Wizards fans may do the same on Sports Radio 106.7 The Fan.

The Nets rode center Brook Lopez against the Jazz earlier this week, and he raked the Jazz D over the coals in a dominant victory. After the game, head coach Jason Kidd said that was the identity he plans on instilling into his team.

"I think as a team that's what we talked about yesterday. When we looked, you know we were kind of a jumping shooting team (in Orlando)," Kidd said. "Yesterday's practice was, the only way you could score was by getting the ball in the paint and the drills and the things that we did. The focus carried over to tonight."

Washington's frontcourt is banged up heading into tonight's tilt, so they'll need to counter with strong play out of the backcourt, namely point guard John Wall. This year Wall appears armed with an improved 3-point stroke, a welcome development to Wizards fans.

"It's something I worked on this summer," Wall said. "Some games they're gonna fall, some games they're not. They were doubling in the post off me. I just had to be confident and be able to knock them down and tonight they went in." He sank five treys against the 76ers.

His Nets counterpart, Deron Williams, is dealing with some nagging ailments limiting him to 25 minutes per game. He's still racking up eight assists a night, but if he's not 100 percent he may have a hard time staying in front of Wall and keeping him out of the paint.
