The New York Knicks (1-3) have played poorly to begin the season, and must forge ahead the next few weeks without their starting center and defensive anchor Tyson Chandler. Tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET they head to Charlotte to face the Bobcats (3-2) against who Chandler was injured three days ago. Live stream the game here. Knicks fans can listen to the radio broadcast on 98.7 ESPN FM, while Bobcats fans may do the same on WNMX 106.1 FM.

The Knicks appear frustrated and unable to locate the root of their myriad issues. Carmelo Anthony, who is leading the team with 23.8 points a night but shooting just 37 percent from the field, is in no mood for excuses.

"We're just not getting it done right now, no excuses," Anthony said. "There's no need to pinpoint this or pinpoint that. We're just not getting it done. The good thing is that it's early. We've just got to figure this out. We've got to remain positive."

Staying positive won't be easy without Chandler down low to help out when the porous frontcourt experiences lapses. Iman Shumpert is the only plus defender in the Knicks starting five besides Chandler, and now a large portion of Chandler's minutes are expected to go to Andrea Bargnani and Amar'e Stoudemire.

"We miss him big time, he's our anchor down there," Anthony said. "We're going to have some challenges ahead of us. We're going to have to step up to those challenges."

The Knicks' start has been so poor that point guard Raymond Felton personally apologized to fans on ESPN Radio Thursday.

"The fans are not here in the locker room with us," Felton said on The Michael Kay Show. "They are not inside (knowing) what's going on with this team. All I can say to the fans is we do apologize. I am speaking on behalf of myself and my teammates. We do apologize for the way we have been playing."

"We are not playing Knicks basketball right now," Felton continued. "We understand that. We are going to play harder, we are going to play better. It's early on in the season. Just be patient with us."
