Tonight at 8:25 p.m. ET the Minnesota Vikings (1-7) will use tonight's game against the Washington Redskins (3-5) and the rest going forward attempting to figure out their quarterback situation for next season. Meanwhile, the Skins are still in the NFC hunt when they face Minny in Thursday Night Football action that can be seen on NFL Network and live streamed here. Redskins fans can hear the game on WTEM 980, while Vikings fans an listen in on KFAN 100.3.

The Redskins, and quarterback Robert Griffin III in particular, know this season hasn't been as fun a ride as last year's playoff run. Still, RGIII is reminding Redskins backers that all hope isn't lost.

"The fans want to have something to believe in, and the players want to have something to believe in," Griffin said. "And because of the way our division is set up right now, we have something to believe in and we know we can control our own destiny."

Griffin has struggled to pass the ball this year, tossing nine touchdowns to go with nine interceptions, after throwing just five picks all last season. He'll be going against the 24th ranked pass defense in the NFL tonight, though, so he'll hope to get on track.

One way to do that is by converting more third downs, according to head coach Mike Shanahan. "The great quarterbacks are the guys that are consistent on third down," said Shanahan.  "Anytime you're over 70 percent on third-down conversions your quarterback is playing extremely well." The Redskins are converting at a 44.5 percent clip.

Minnesota's situation is far worse than Washington's, and is spread throughout the team. Last week members of the team were openly questioning the play calling and leadership of the coaches. "I like for them to talk to their coaches (or) myself about whatever concerns they may have and try to get those worked out," coach Leslie Frazier said. "But I do understand their frustration and I respect their opinions. The frustration grows with each loss with everyone involved."
