Tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET in American Airlines Arena, four-time MVP LeBron James will lead the Miami Heat (3-2) in a matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers (3-2) and Chris Paul, who seems ready to take a run at King James' MVP candidacy. Live stream the game here; Clippers fans can hear the radio broadcast on KFWB 980 AM, while Heat fans can listen in on 560 WQAM.

The Clippers white-hot offense cooled a bit against the Orlando Magic last night, as they scored just 90 points and lost by eight, but Paul still comes into tonight's tilt averaging nearly 25 points a game to go with 12.6 assists.

New coach Doc Rivers is happy with the early success, but cautioned that a high-octane offense won't be what gets the Clips their desired result, an NBA championship.

"We win games, we score 100 or whatever points, that's always fool's gold," said Rivers. "Our offense is always fool's gold. You've got to defend to win."

While Paul's impressive numbers jump out, LeBron James recently joined an exclusive club of players who have scored double-digit points in 500 consecutive games. "When I see a stat like that, I'm like 'Wow,' because I know the history of the game, I know the guys who paved the way for myself and my teammates," said James. The only other players in that group are Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Michael Jordan, Karl Malone and Moses Malone.

In addition to those points, Miami may need to lean on LeBron to curtail Paul on the defensive end. If Erik Spoelstra puts James on Paul, an interesting battle down low could happen. Chris Bosh is day-to-day with a sore ankle, but even if he plays the Heat could struggle with the bruising Blake Griffin in the post. He's averaging 20.6 points and 10.8 boards per game.
