Jerry Lawler Arrested: WWE Legend Taken Into Custody On Domestic Violence Charge [PHOTO, VIDEO]

Wrestling legend and current WWE commentator Jerry "The King" Lawler was arrested at his home Friday morning on a domestic violence charge.

The WWE has taken swift action and suspended the Hall of Famer indefinitely.

Lawler and his fiancée, Lauryn McBride, got into an argument at their home in Memphis, Tenn., and both were arrested on domestic violence charges. The couple got into an argument that turned violent and involved a gun, according to WFSB.com.

Per the report, McBride told police that Lawler pushed her up against a kitchen counter, hit her in the head, pushed her against their stove and then placed a gun on the counter, telling his fiancée to kill herself.

Lawler claimed that McBride was drunk and threatening to kill herself and the incident started when she wouldn't reveal where she had been and was lying about it. The WWE personality also said she scratched him in the face, threw a candle at him and kicked him in the groin.

The Shelby County Sherriff's Office arrested both of them around 1 a.m. because police couldn't determine which one of them started the problems and both clearly got physical with one another.

The WWE released a statement about the incident, announcing an indefinite suspension for Lawler. WWE Superstar Adam Rose recently was levied the same punishment for a domestic incident with his wife as the company has a zero tolerance party on such offenses.

"MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Jerry Lawler was arrested at his home Friday morning by the Shelby County Sheriff's Office in Memphis, Tenn," the WWE wrote in a statement. "According to a police report, Lawler and his girlfriend, Lauryn McBride, were taken into custody and booked on alleged charges of domestic assault-bodily harm, a misdemeanor. WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence, and per our policy, Jerry Lawler has been suspended indefinitely following his arrest."

Lawler, 66, has been a part of professional wrestling for decades and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007.

The mugshots of the couple were released:
