Fresh off of combining with forward Kevin Love to score 64 points and lead the Minnesota Timberwolves past the Knicks 109-100 at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, Kevin Martin is raving about basketball being "fun" again.

In a not-so-veiled swipe at three-time league scoring champ Kevin Durant, the former Oklahoma City veteran forward told the New York Daily News "this is such a fun team to play on. Nobody is trying to lead the league in scoring."

It certainly looked that way at The Garden on Sunday, as Martin and Love took turns torching the Knicks' overmatched defense. Martin finished with 30 points, and made all five of his 3-point shots, while Love chipped in with games highs of 34 points and 15 rebounds.

Martin left OKC for Minnesota in the offseason, lured by the pull of a bigger contract and a greater role in the team's offense.

Over the Wolves' 3-0 start, Martin has averaged 21 points and three assists, compared to only 14 points last season playing alongside Durant and high-scoring guard Russell Westbrook.

In a direct matchup last Friday, the Wolves blasted OKC 100-81, limiting Durant to just 13 points on 4-of-11 shooting. Martin finished with nine points, three assists, three rebounds and two steals in just 24 minutes.
