As he awaits his first UFC fight, CM Punk commented on a possible second one.

The former WWE Superstar is set for battle with Mickey Gall in his debut fight sometime this summer, but a specific date hasn't been revealed.

As far as where he goes from there, the "Best in the World" said he'd be interested in a potential second fight at UFC 205, which will be the first time the promotion comes to New York City and Madison Square Garden.

"In my mind, that card at the Garden would be a nice second fight," Punk told MMA Hour (via Sportsrageous). "But, I don't know how realistic that is because, again, I don't want to say things people are going to take to heart."

Punk has learned from the constant setbacks he's experienced in attempting to make his debut that he shouldn't commit to anything. The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion has had plenty of obstacles in the way of his first fight, which includes back surgery he underwent recently to repair injuries accrued during his WWE career.

There has been some speculation that Punk could make his debut on "UFC on Fox" in his hometown of Chicago on July 23. That event is headlined by a fight pitting Holly Holm against Valentina Shevchenko.

Punk has yet to confirm when he'll be ready for his debut in the Octagon.

"I've learned from my past mistakes and I'm not going to say a date that everyone's gonna get married to, and then I'm going to have to hear about how I'm never going to fight," Punk said. "I'm going to fight. It's going to be this year ... Don't worry haters, I'm going to fight, it's going to be f--king fun and awesome, and you're going to be real upset."

There have been rumors that Punk's training hasn't quite paid off, but he has no shortage of confidence heading into his first fight. Punk, 37, signed with UFC in December 2014, nearly a year after walking out on the WWE, but has yet to set foot in the cage.

Gall also has plenty of confidence and has openly ripped on Punk for his wrestling background. The 24-year-old is 2-0 in his MMA career and wants to beat Punk and move on.

"Let me tell you, I hope it's soon. I think it's going to be this summer, which I can do. I can wait," Gall recently told the SFLC Podcast (per Fox Sports). "I'm training and I'm getting better and what I can't wait for is to get my fight with CM Punk, beat CM Punk and then get started with the UFC roster."
