CM Punk Rumors: Ryback May Follow 'Best In The World's' Path Out Of WWE [VIDEO]

Ryback could be getting set to pull a CM Punk.

When the "Best in the World's" frustration reached a boiling point, he walked out on the WWE prior to the "Monday Night RAW" episode that aired after Royal Rumble 2014.

Punk never returned to the company and sat out until his contract expired in July of that year. He then signed with the UFC that December, but his first fight is still pending.

Ryback may be following down the same path as even though he didn't walk out, he was sent home prior to "Monday Night RAW" due to a contract dispute, according to Wrestlingheadlines.com.

"The Big Guy" has reportedly been in contract negotiations with the WWE, but they've hit a wall. Ryback met with Vince McMahon and reportedly didn't like the money, which led to the CEO telling him to go home.

The former Intercontinental Champion apparently didn't argue the decision and walked out on "RAW." He was originally set for the United States Championship No. 1 contender Battle Royal, but wasn't there, and Rusev got the win.

Ryback could follow down the same path as Punk did by sitting home and collecting checks until his contract expires in a few months. Or, perhaps, the two sides will reach an agreement.

Punk and Ryback have a sordid history as the soon-to-be UFC fighter ripped on "The Big Guy" for hurting him during a match, he shared on Colt Cabana's podcast in November 2014.

Punk relayed a conversation he claimed the two WWE Superstars had after the incident.

"Either you're doing it on purpose and you suck or you're dumb as f--k, which is it?," Punk claimed he said to Ryback.

"I'm dumb as f--k," Ryback responded, according to Punk on the podcast.

Ryback then posted a tongue-and-cheek tweet after Punk's UFC debut was pushed back because of an injury:

Ryback also mocked Punk's entrance in his hometown of Chicago at Payback this past Sunday. He then loss to U.S. Champion Kalisto on the pre-show.

They may not see eye-to-eye, but Ryback may follow down the same path as Punk.
