WWE Rumors: Next Opponent For Dean Ambrose Possibly Revealed [VIDEO}

Dean Ambrose couldn't topple "The Beast," but he may already be moving on to a new feud.

"The Lunatic Fringe" battled Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32 this past Sunday night at AT&T Stadium in Dallas. Though he lost, it appears another high-profile rivalry may be awaiting him.

Lesnar didn't appear on "Monday Night RAW" this week, and it could be a sign that he's once again taking a hiatus from the company. It's expected Paul Heyman's client will be eventually moving on to a feud with The Wyatt Family.

As for Ambrose, it appears the WWE had something in the works between him and Chris Jericho, which could lead into a program between the two. Jericho has been feuding with AJ Styles, whom he defeated at WrestleMania 32.

With "The Phenomanal One" now the No. 1 contender for Roman Reigns and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Jericho could need a new program, as long as his part-time contract with the WWE has more dates on it.

The original plans for WrestleMania called for Jericho and Ambrose to face each other, according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter (via WrestlingInc.com).

"Y2J" would have turned on Ambrose in a similar way he did with Syles, riffing off of Jericho walking out on Ambose and Reigns at Night of Champions in September.

Several factors led to the WWE scrapping the original plans. Styles joined the WWE, causing Jericho to feud with him, while Ambrose was thrust into a program with Lesnar ahead of The Wyatt Family.

Though the plans chaged, the fact that an Ambrose-Jericho rivalry was in the works to begin with could mean the two will clash in a post-WrestleMania rivalry.
