It was revealed this week on "Monday Night RAW" that KOMania may be a huge obstacle for Kevin Owens.
The reigning Intercontinental Champion will defend his title against six other WWE Superstars in a Ladder Match at WrestleMania on April 3 at AT&T Stadium in Texas. Owens will put the gold up for grabs against The Miz, Dolph Ziggler, Sami Zayn, Stardust, Zack Ryder and Sin Cara in a bout that is poised to steal the show.
Given these seven combatants, here's our rakings (from worst to first) of how likely each Superstar is to leave Texas with the title. To view this article in slideshow form, CLICK START at the top right of this page.
7) Zack Ryder
The "Long Island Iced-Z" creator may have a pretty nice following among the WWE Universe, but the creative team has shown no signs of wanting to give him any favorable booking. His recent run in NXT shows the WWE isn't really sure what to do with him, so Ryder is unfortunately the least likely candidate to win.
6) Stardust
Though he's held the gold as Cody Rhodes, ever since the transition to Stardust was made, he's been lost in the shuffle. There are times where Stardust isn't even featured on "RAW," so the odds are against him emerging from the Ladder Match victorious.
5) Sin Cara
The Lucha Dragons member's odds are a little better than the previous two combatants, if only because the WWE surprisingly gave his tag team partner Kalisto a run with the United States Championship. It's possible both Lucha Dragons members can have midcard gold bridging into a possible feud, but still somewhat unlikely.
4) The Miz
Aside from being a one-time WWE Champion, The Miz is a four-time Intercontinental Champion, so he can't be counted out. The Ohio native has grown into his own as a heel and has taken his Hollywood gimmick and ran with it. Perhaps the WWE will reward him for that.
3) Sami Zayn
The former NXT Champion's odds may be hurt by the fact that he just made his debut, but he already has a great following in the WWE Universe and could be this WrestleMania's breakout star by winning the huge match. Zayn has the talent, but may need to prove himself before having a run with any main roster gold. Even still, his odds definitely seem better than some of his more seasoned opponents.
2) Kevin Owens
The WWE's resident Prize Fighter actually appears to have pretty good odds of retaining the title given the lack of true star power in this match. Aside from Zayn, Miz and Ziggler, it's hard to see any of the other guys escaping WrestleMania with the title. This reign for Owens only began in February, so the WWE may want to keep the belt on him, though if someone else emerges with the title, it gives Owens an automatic feud heading into the spring.
1) Dolph Ziggler
"The Showoff" hasn't been pushed very heavily in the WWE as of late, but perhaps his match against Triple H last week on "RAW" is proof that the WWE is looking to do something big with him again. Ziggler stands as the most credible threat to take out Owens. Ziggler is a four-time Intercontinental Champion and could add one more reign to his impressive resume against rival Owens. The WWE always leans heavily toward babyfaces at WrestleMania.
