Now that Nate Diaz has overcome Conor McGregor, ex-NFL player-turned-actor Terry Crews has an idea for his next opponent: Justin Bieber.
The "Love Yourself" singer has been in a public war of words with the UFC fighter, and as far as Crews is concerned, there's only one way to settle the score.
"You know, sometimes there needs to be a couple of cage matches," Crews said to TMZ. "I think there's nothing wrong [with that]. I think they should settle all celebrity beefs in the cage. Everybody will stop beefin' really quick."
The "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" actor also said that people who publicly have Hollywood rivals should "put your money where your mouth is." It's a compelling scenario, but one that will likely never, ever happen.
This rivalry began when Bieber criticized Diaz for his "terrible" style in his fight with McGregor at UFC 196 on Saturday. Diaz won the bout by second-round submission, but the singer didn't seem too impressed with him after it was all said and done.
"Conor is a true champion, fights with style and finesse, all the respect to Nate but his style is terrible," Bieber wrote in an Instagram post, toasting McGregor after the loss and roasting Diaz following the win.
Diaz fired back with an Instagram post of his own which depicted him slapping a cartoon Bieber. The UFC fighter also said "f--k that fool" about Bieber to "TMZ Live" when asked about the newest celebrity beef.
When appearing on the show, the welterweight also revealed he wasn't exactly in the giving mood when it came to offering McGregor another shot at him.
"I'm sure he does want a rematch," Diaz said. "I've wanted a lot of rematches too. Time will tell how things play out."
If Diaz doesn't go for another fight with McGregor, perhaps he can take Crews' advice and go after Bieber.
