It's been nearly a year since she retired from the squared circle, but AJ Lee may miss the WWE after all.
The three-time Divas Champion retired shortly after WrestleMania 31, and she hasn't returned to the ring for any promotion since. Behind the scenes, there are several bonds made in professional wrestling, and Lee may be missing some of her former peers.

Take her latest tweet as an example. The WWE is in Illinois this week for "Monday Night RAW," and Lee, who lives in Chicago with her husband CM Punk, got a special visitor with her friends being in the area.
As seen by the photo, Big E dropped by to say hello to the former Diva. Big E was part of a stable with Lee and Dolph Ziggler during the early portion of his WWE career.

Lee rarely tweets anything about wrestling these days, but it's quite clear she has to miss it in some capacity -- or at least the friends she made there.
The two-time Diva of the Year retired from the WWE mostly due to the ongoing legal battle between her husband and the company. Punk walked out on the WWE in January 2014 and blasted the organization on his friend Colt Cabana's podcast afterward.
Punk's harsh words included criticisms of WWE doctor Chris Amann, who Punk claimed misdiagnosed him on several occasions and tried to brush a concussion he allegedly suffered under the rug. The doctor responded with a libel lawsuit against Punk and Cabana, leading to Lee's retirement.
As Punk prepares for his UFC debut and Lee remains out of the wrestling realm, she at least will always be connected to the company in some capacity.
