New York Knicks Rumors: Owner James Dolan Forced Carmelo Anthony's Apology [POLL, VIDEO]

Carmelo Anthony isn't truly sorry after all, James Dolan just wants everyone to think he is.

The Knicks star came under fire Tuesday during the team's 104-85 loss to the Trail Blazers for his response to a heckling fan. During the blowout, a fan spouted something at the nine-time All-Star.

Anthony pointed at James Dolan and told the fan to "ask for your money back." The Knicks followed up Wednesday with a statement they claimed to be on behalf of Anthony, saying he "should not have responded" the way he did to the pesterer.

Turns out, Anthony isn't sorry at all.

"I don't really think I said anything wrong," Anthony said Thursday via the Daily News.

When pressed about who decided to issue the statement, Anthony confirmed it was the team, specifically Dolan.

"It was Mr. Dolan's decision," he said before saying it was a "collaborative" effort, perhaps in a way to avoid more backlash.

Anthony better get used to the heckling. New York has dropped two straight games and four of its last five, placing it 12 games below .500.

The Knicks currently sit in 13th place in the Eastern Conference, casting some doubt on Antony's future with the team beyond this season.

Anthony's apology fiasco proves the Knicks aren't just a mess on the court this season.
