Tonight at 8:25 p.m. the Carolina Panthers (3-3) will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-6) on Thursday Night Football in a Week 8 clash that will be televised on NFL Network and can be live streamed here. Panthers fans can listen to the game on WBT 1110 AM, while any remaining Buccaneers fans can catch the radio broadcast on WDAE 620.
The Bucs are fighting to get their first win of the year, but their rough situation is worsening. They will be without their top offensive weapon, running back Doug Martin, after he tore his labrum last week. Meanwhile, reports are sprouting about coach Greg Schiano losing the locker room, all while billboards calling for his job are popping up around Tampa Bay.
"You've got to go with the next task at hand," Schiano said. "I want to be clear on this because I don't take lightly 0-6. I've never been 0-6. But we do our best. We're trying our hardest. Our guys are working ... and I have found when you have good people and they work hard and they work smart it'll turn. That's what I believe."
The Panthers are certainly saying the right things about tonight's game. Linebacker Thomas Davis said, "In this league anything is possible and we know what Tampa Bay is capable of. If you look at their games this year they've pretty much been in all of those games. It just came down to executing in the fourth quarter and they could have a much different record. We know that."
One player Carolina must focus on is wide receiver Vincent Jackson, who has been force fed the football since rookie Mike Glennon took over under center. He's thrown the rock Jackson's way 36 times in the last two games, with Jackson reeling in 19 of those passes for 252 yards and two scores.
